Dr. Julius Xavier Scott, Medical Director and Head of the Department of Pediatric Hematology at Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre (SRMC), leads a multidisciplinary team to deliver the highest quality of care to child patients. This team, which includes trained nursing officers, social workers, a psychologist, a data analyst, and a driver, is the backbone of GB Right Where You Are, a Supportive Paediatric (Home) Care project.

In partnership with Cipla Foundation, this project was designed to ensure that children and their families receive the care they need, no matter where they are—be it at home, in hospitals, Home Away from Home facilities, or in partnership with other NGOs. Our goal is to reach every child in need, providing not just medical support but emotional and psychosocial care, meeting families right where they are, in every sense of the word.

Psychosocial
Support

Any life-limiting or chronic illness can be emotionally draining for the parents, siblings & child-patients. They feel isolated and ignored. Our team of social workers gives them psychosocial support (counseling) to make them feel heard, valued, and comforted.

Art & Recreational
Activities

We use art and recreation as an intervention tool for child patients and their siblings to keep them intellectually active and to help them express their feelings in various aspects. Additionally, we provide non-formal education to help them stay in touch with their academics.
